INJURY REHABILITATION

Strive For Progress

One of the main reasons people have a sports massage is due to an injury they have sustained through various activities such as whilst competing in their sport, at work or in a public place. When an injury occurs the muscles in that area will contract and become short which can lead to a loss of motion and pain. Using skills such as Soft Tissue Release, Myofascial Release and Muscle Energy Techniques, the muscles will lengthen reducing pain and discomfort in the area.

Kinesiology Taping

SPORTS TAPING & STRAPPING

Supporting You!

Taping is commonly used as an adjunct or temporary technique to provide a protective mechanism in the presence of an existing injury. Some of the goals with taping are to stabilise or support the injury, relieve pain by de-loading vulnerable or painful anatomical structures and help to facilitate normal movement, muscle action or postural patterns. These can be achieved by mechanical, neuromuscular, or psychological effects.

MYOFASCIAL CUPPING

Historic but holistic

Cupping Therapy is one of the oldest forms of medical treatment, originating in Eastern China and Africa, this method of treatment is used to relieve pain and tension in the body by applying a suction pressure. The cups (usually plastic) are placed on areas of musculoskeletal tension or specific points of the body in order to release localised acute and chronic tension and help increase blood flow to the area.
