DOES SPORTS MASSAGE HURT?
It may do, but it really depends on the problem being treated and we always try and work in the threshold of the client. Some injuries can be quite painful, but it’s always the aim of the therapist to ensure the treatment is effective and enjoyable.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Shorts or loose comfortable sportswear is ideal - anything that can be removed or easily rearranged.
For hygiene reasons we’d prefer it if you avoid having a sports massage straight after a workout or while wearing dirty work clothes.
WILL SPORTS MASSAGE HELP WITH NON - SPORTS INJURIES?
Yes. It doesn't matter if you did it while exercising, sneezing or sitting at your desk.
WHY DO I NEED A CONSULTATION ON MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
The consultation is there to help us gage a more holistic approach and make further assessment on the the injury in order give you the best treatment plan possible.
WHAT IF YOU CAN'T FIX MY PROBLEM?
If your injury requires more specialist treatment then we will always refer you to someone who has the relevant expertise in that area.
IF I HAVE A COLD OR FEEL UNDER THE WEATHER CAN I STILL HAVE A MASSAGE?
If you have cold or are feeling under the weather then it is not recommended that you have a massage and it is likely to make the symptoms of your cold worse.
